I just finished serving on the Artesprix Design Team for 2 terms. I learned so much and had a great time creating and meeting other amazing creators. Although my time on the Artesprix Design Team has come to an end, that doesn’t mean I’m not continuing to make pretty things with Iron-on-Ink.

With Teacher Appreciation here and the end of the school year quickly approaching, I wanted to make something to share with all of my teacher friends. So the Artesprix Blank of the Month for May made the perfect canvas for a cute gift.

Basic Clay Bead Bracelets

I knew I wanted to add the charm I created to a fun bracelet. So after searching Pinterest, I came across 2 really easy to follow polymer clay bead bracelet tutorials that are meant for this charm. I followed along with Heidi Kundin’s tutorial on her blog, Happiness is Homemade. There is also a similar post on Hello, Wonderful.

You can choose to make one of the bracelets above, or you can choose something else. But I want to walk you through how easy it is to make the sublimation charms.

Making the Sublimation Charm

Materials and Supplies

Step-by-Step

1. Print out the teacher charm templates and cut out the design you would like to use.

2. Use a light pad or other light source to trace the design ON THE BACK of the paper.

PRO TIP: If you don’t have a light pad, you can hold the paper up to a window so you can see where to trace.

3. If you’ll be adding an initial, stamp it now.

4. Clean the charm with a lint brush or lint-free cloth

5. Use heat tape to tape the design (marker side down) to the with side of the charm.

PRO TIP: Since this is such a small blank, I like to place the charm on top of the design to tape it.

6. Use a small piece of protective paper to make a sublimation sandwich. The order is: protective paper, charm, design, protective paper.

7. Place the sandwiched blank on your heat press (design closest to the heat plate) and press at 400 degrees for 45 seconds.

8. Before removing the blank from the press, lift a corner to make sure that your design transferred well. If it did not, you can cover it and press it for a few more seconds.

9. Use the included ring to attach the charm to your bracelet and you are done!

Super Easy!

These are super cute and easy to make! In fact, you can even give your kids the sublimation markers and let them create. Just remember to mirror your design because you will be pressing it and it will be reversed.

You can get your sublimation charms from Artesprix during the month of May, and then they’re gone. So don’t sleep on these. You could even buy a couple of packs to have on hand for later in the year.
