Foiled Terracotta Pots

Create stunning foiled pots using minimal supplies and materials

Equipment

  • Scissors
  • adhesive pen or glue stick
  • bone folder, scraper, or used gift card
  • scrap vinyl optional

Materials

  • 1 foil transfer sheet
  • terracotta pot, any size

Instructions

  • Remove labels from the pots using heat or alcohol
  • Apply glue to the pot. Be careful not to add too much. Glue should not be clumpy.
  • Place foil over glue, with the shiny side facing you. The dull side will be against the pot and glue.
  • Rub the foil using your finger, bone folder, scraper, or gift card.
  • Slowly lift to check that foil is adhered. If not, cover and rub harder.
  • When done, remove the foil.

  • Add any decals or embellishments
    vinyl decal attached with transfer tape
  • Style your pots and enjoy!
