What a week it’s been! Last week was a really full one. Here’s what went down:

Outdoor Snack Station

Our Amazon Prime orders started arriving. So the kids and I set up a cute little snack station on our front porch for the delivery workers. It was so cool to see them walking away with a smile and some chips and a drink.

Eating Good

My husband is a shopping addict. Let me correct that: he’s actually addicted to finding good deals. He cannot go to Walmart without taking a trip to the clearance section. Last year, he found this really cute mini waffle maker. I finally gave it a try last week. And guess what? I LOVE IT! I made gluten-free waffles (more on that in another post) in it one day. The next day, I made bacon and eggs in it. Yum!!!

Girl Time

I had promised the girls that we’d have an at-home spa day. So we took out the nail polish. I did my toes (I’ll spare you those pics). The girls enjoyed me polishing their nails. So fun!

Craft Room Disaster

The previous weekend, I was part of a small makers market. This was my first in person event since 2020 hit. I had a blast laughing and spending time with the other vendors. It was only a 2-hour event, but it was a success. With the heat, though, I was soooo drained. It took me an ENTIRE WEEK to unpack and get my craft area back under control. Here’s what it looked like for a whole 7 days (not like me at all).

Mental Break (Kind of)

Once I got the craft room situation stabilized, I felt like I could kind of reward myself. So I jumped onto Solitaire.org to relax and play a few games. These games are so cool! They take me back to high school. I remember sitting in the back row of the computer lab, playing Tetris or Solitaire while the teacher was lecturing. It was all fun and games until I got caught. Good times!

But I didn’t have to worry about getting caught this time. I just have to remember to set my timer so I don’t keep playing for hours on end. I played Tetra Blocks (like Tetris), Mahjong, but only the basic so I could feel like a winner, and Classic Solitaire. There are a bunch more games on there, but those three are my favorites.

Craft Lady = Plant Lady

I’ve also become somewhat of a plant lady over the last 6 months. I guess it’s because I have the space. I’m talking inside and out. I feel like I’ve become my dad, out watering my plants and pulling the weeds every morning. But here’s the cool thing: my Peace Lily (her name is Hershey) just put out a new flower! I’ve had her 2 years now. One of my amazing friends gave her to me as a gift on the day of my mom’s funeral in January of 2020. So I guess you can understand why I’m so happy about seeing a new flower blooming.

One More Thing

Finally, I am happy that I got in a few workouts last week. The husband and I have made Saturday and Sunday mornings our time to go to the gym together. We go early while it’s still pretty empty. We did the 30 minute circuit for the first time in over 3 years. And we wrapped it all up with a 15 minute massage in those really cool massage chairs at the gym.

So that was my week. I hope you had a productive week. And I hope you had a chance to relax and regroup. Thanks for being here and until next time: stay crafty!

PS: Seriously, if you want to take have a little “mental break” while working this week without pulling out your phone, check out Solitaire.org. I’m pretty sure you’ll find a game or 5 that you’ll like.
